When Will We Be Invisible?

Jenna, age 20. I live in New Jersey but my heart is in Chicago. Basically, this blog is just a whole lot of yelling about the dumb things that I enjoy. I participated in the Disney College Program at Walt Disney World for the Fall 2011 Program. I worked at the World of Disney in Downtown Disney and, lemme tell you, being part of the WOD Squad was pretty great. If you wanna know more about me, just click this little thingy right here.

I also co-run a blog dedicated to music that relates to the various characters and ships of Black Butler. You should follow it if you enjoy Black Butler and/or good music that is sometimes serious and sometimes ridiculous. You can find it here.

I spend most of my time screaming about shinigami things with Will and Eric, Alan, and Ronald. They keep my life DEADLY~ exciting.

Day 2: Favorite Album

Favorite AFI album of all time is Black Sails in the Sunset.  It was the first record Jade started writing for and I think that’s a big reason as to why I hold it in such high regard.  When I first bought it, I didn’t think I was going to like it as much as I did since it was still on the more abrasive and hardcore end of the spectrum, but the more I listened to it and studied the lyrics, the more I kind of connected to it.  Honestly, a lot of the lyrics are really very outwardly dark and depressing but I still found a certain amount of beauty and truthfulness in them that I could understand and respect.

Going back to the Jade reference, I also love that, when you listen to SYMAOYE and then BSITS, you can see just what a difference Jade’s presence had on the band as a whole.  I’m still convinced that, if Jade hadn’t joined as a permanent member, that I wouldn’t love this band as much as I do, not because of his presence as just a band member and a person, but because of all the musical and creative ability he brought to the table when he joined.  Like I said, listen to the two aforementioned albums back to back and you’ll see the insane shift in the music.

Oh wow, someone posted a picture of Jade I took at my Blaqk Audio show in the Jade picture thread on the slash boards.

MINDFUCK.
