When Will We Be Invisible?

I swear to God, every pair of shoes I buy for Grell is gonna be like $70+.  This is ridiculous.　

Warning everyone now, you should probably stay away from Mel and me when we attend a formal ball at a con as the Grelliams because we’re going to be insufferable and inseparable.  Not that we already aren’t when we’re the Grelliams but still, moreso than usual.

I just bought pants for Circus Grell and I think Imma go to the thrift store in the next few days to see if I can find shoes for Cheshire Grell just because I really don’t feel like spending $70 on them if I don’t have to.  I’m also gonna go to JoAnn Fabrics and see if I can get some fur fabric and some other stuff for all the little details for both Circus and Cheshire Grell.

I think I’m gonna retake my measurements and then I’ll order Cheshire Grell’s full costume by the end of the week since it’s gonna take a while for it to get here.  I also need to hammer out the final design for Circus Grell’s little top hat and then commission it from a designer on Etsy that I found.  I’m also toying with the idea of getting a new wig since mine is going to take a lot of work to get back to a presentable state, work that might include wefts and I do not have the know-how for that right now.  But we’ll see, I suppose.

I’m making way more progress with this than I thought I would be at this point, though!  I’m nowhere near finished but still, I feel pretty good so far.　

Just bought a shirt for Circus Grell.

I am pleased.  And it was only like $16.

Also, I think I’m very close to finding a suitable pair of shoes for Cheshire Cat Grell.  Awww yeaaaah.

So I just bought a vest for Circus Grell and socks for Cheshire Cat Grell.

Progress~

So many cosplay things to do, oh my God.

I need to:

• Put together Circus Grell from absolute scratch (at least I already got the shoes)
• Put together Cheshire Cat Grell
• Learn how to make the ears for Cheshire Grell because all the ones that come with costumes look like two dollar Halloween store cat-eared headbands
• See if I can find socks for Cheshire Grell since so many costumes just have them sewn onto the bottom of the pants and I’m not sure if that’ll even look right
• See if I can find a good scarf, too, while I’m at it
• Find suitable booties for Cheshire Grell and figure out how to sew the fur onto the top since that’s most likely what I’ll have to do
• Possibly buy a new wig for Grell or give my current one a good washing and conditioning and see if I can do anything about the frizzy ends
• Possibly get my wig cut so I can style the bangs correctly
• Work on Grell’s eyebrows some more
• Figure out how to do my make up for Circus Grell
• At least start looking for a nice gown to wear to one of the formal balls since Mel and I are dying to go to one as the Grelliams (Otakon would be a long shot but maybe if I end up with some extra money, I can make it happen)
• Figure out how to bind while wearing a gown
• Get said gown altered to fit my bound chest properly (that’ll be fun)
• Get a proper compression shirt or alternative way to bind properly in general
• And that’s just for Otakon
• There’s probably more to do but I’m just forgetting it at the moment
• Oh God
• This is ridiculous
• Fuck
